The Presidency of Religious Affairs at Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) is launching its Hadith and Scientific Texts Memorisation Course for the summer of 1448 AH, open to both men and women.

Dates and Schedule

The men’s and women’s programmes run on different timelines.

Daily sessions run across two shifts:

  • Morning shift — After Fajr prayer until 9:45 AM
  • Evening shift — After Asr prayer until the Adhan of Isha

Who Can Apply

The course is open to both men and women of any nationality. Applicants select the specific course track they wish to join.

Entry requires a minimum level of Quran memorisation depending on the chosen track.

All applicants undergo a short interview before the programme begins to verify memorisation quality and academic level.

Passing the interview does not guarantee a place, as numbers are limited and final acceptance is confirmed separately before the course starts.

Participants choose from eleven classical Islamic texts across Hadith, jurisprudence, Arabic grammar, and Quranic sciences:

  • Abridgment of the Two Sahihs by Imam Abdul Haq al-Ishbili
  • Hadith Additions of the Four Sunan over the Two Sahihs
  • Bulugh al-Maram by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani
  • Umdat al-Ahkam by Abdul Ghani al-Maqdisi
  • Kitab al-Manhal al-Jari al-Muntaqa min Fath al-Bari
  • Kifayat al-Mustaqni' li-Adillat al-Muqni'
  • Kitab al-Tawhid
  • Zad al-Mustaqni'
  • Introduction to the Principles of Tafsir
  • Mukhtasar al-Tahrir
  • Alfiyyah ibn Malik
