This Muslim Hero Saved Families from a Fire then Went to Work Like Nothing Happened – ilmfeed
A Muslim man helped save families from a house fire and didn’t stay around for a thank you.
Ans Javid was on his way to deal with a family emergency in the early hours of the morning when he noticed thick black smoke rising from a house.
Although he had no connection to the area, he immediately stopped, called the emergency services, and helped wake residents so they could escape before the fire spread.
Despite his actions, Ans refuses to describe himself as a hero.
“It was fight-or-flight mode. I just had to think fast.”
“I didn’t stay around for a thank you, I just carried on to where I needed to be.” he added.
Once firefighters arrived and the residents were safe, he quietly left the scene and continued to the family emergency he had originally set out to attend before later going to work.
Reflecting on what happened, Ans believes the outcome could have been very different had nobody spotted the fire in time.
“If I wasn’t there, I don’t know what could have potentially happened.”
He hopes his experience reminds people that even small actions can have a huge impact.
“People don’t value what they’re worth. They don’t realise that their presence can make a huge difference in a situation.”
He added:
“There are so many negative stories around. If this encourages someone to help when somebody needs it, then that’s a good thing. Sometimes just being there can make all the difference.”
