How Many Trees and Planting Beds Are in the Central Area?

The municipality said planting in the central area is one of the main parts of its work on the city’s appearance. It has planted 5,444 trees across sites, streets, and roads.
The green spaces cover about 9,930 square metres and are spread over 1,385 planting beds. The municipality said this gives the area a connected green look that fits with its buildings and services.
The municipality said the work does not stop at planting. It also covers irrigation, general upkeep, tree pruning, cleaning, and regular checks. These tasks keep the trees and planting beds looking good, and keep the sites around Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) ready throughout the year.

The municipality said the trees and planting beds along movement routes in the central area improve how the area looks. They combine design features with the city’s built layout.
This makes open spaces more attractive and creates a more suitable setting for visitors and worshippers on the roads and streets leading to Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque), including the bus and vehicle parking areas.
