Dua For Jannah (Paradise)
Every Muslim dreams of Jannah. We strive, we worship, we seek forgiveness — all with the hope of one day entering the gates of Paradise. But what if the Prophet ﷺ gave us a short, powerful dua that could guarantee it?
He ﷺ did.
This supplication is recorded in Sunan Abi Dawud 1529 (Sahih). The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever says, ‘I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Messenger,’ Paradise will be his due.”
Three simple statements. One extraordinary promise.
Dua For Asking Jannah
Arabic:
رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا
Transliteration:
Raḍītu billāhi rabban, wa bil-Islāmi dīnan, wa bi-Muḥammadin rasūlan.
Meaning:
“I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Messenger.”
The Prophet ﷺ did not attach conditions of wealth, status, or lengthy worship to this promise. He attached it to a sincere statement of the heart. It is a reminder that true success lies in being pleased with what Allah has chosen for us.
How many times should you recite this dua?
- There is no fixed number set by the Prophet ﷺ.
- Recite this dua frequently and consistently — after every prayer, in the morning and evening, or whenever it comes to your heart.
- Choose times when duas are most likely answered, like the last third of the night, between the Adhan and Iqamah, or after obligatory prayers.
Make this du’a a regular part of your day, saying it with sincerity and conviction. Let it settle in your heart until you truly feel the meaning behind every word. Paradise is not just a distant dream — with this dua, it can be your due.
