‘Top Chef VIP’ Season 5: Telemundo Moves Premiere To August
Twenty celebrity contestants compete in the fifth season of Telemundo’s Top Chef VIP.

Telemundo’s Top Chef VIP has a new premiere date. The reality cooking show, where celebrities compete in the kitchen for a $200,000 prize and the Top Chef VIP title, is getting an earlier release date.
Now in its fifth season, the popular competition will now launch Tuesday, August 11 at 7pm/6c, three weeks ahead of its originally scheduled September 1 debut.
Carmen Villalobos again hosts the show, leading 20 contestants spanning reality TV, telenovelas, music and social media through high-stakes challenges, surprise eliminations and intense culinary tests across the competition.
Top Chef VIP has grown into one of Telemundo’s most watched reality formats since its debut in 2022. The show is based on NBCUniversal Formats’ Top Chef franchise and previously aired a version under the name Top Chef: Estrellas for two seasons in 2014 and 2015 before relaunching as Top Chef VIP.
Chef Tita, Tono de Livier and Betty Vazquez are the show’s judges.

The panel includes returning judges Chefs Antonio “Toño” de Livier and Chef Tita. Newcomer Chef Betty Vázquez joins the team that will evaluate every dish and decide who stays and who goes.

- Guty Carrera: Ecuadorian-Peruvian actor and reality TV personality who competed on La Isla season 1 and La Casa de los Famosos season 4
- José Joel: Mexican singer and actor, son of the late José José
- Kelly Ríos: athlete and social media personality, best known for her run on the hit reality show Exatlón Estados Unidos season 8
- Lupillo Rivera: GRAMMY-winning regional Mexican music star; competed on La Casa de los Famosos season 4 and its 2024 All-Stars edition
- Mauricio Garza: Mexican actor recognized for his role in Betty en NY
- Miguel Arce: Peruvian actor and TV personality who reached the finals of Los 50 season 2
- Nailea Norvind: veteran Mexican actress with a career spanning film, theater and telenovelas

Top Chef VIP is a RCN production for Telemundo, based on NBCUniversal Formats’ Top Chef franchise, under the supervision of Adrián Santucho, Senior Vice President of Non-Scripted Content, alongside Pancho Calvo, Vice President of Unscripted Content, with Luciano Cardinali as Executive Producer.
