Ramadan 2026: List of Imams Leading Taraweeh Prayers at Masjid al Haram


The Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques has announced the list of senior imams who will lead the Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Haram) during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan 2026 (1447 AH).

The confirmed list of imams includes some of the most recognized voices in the Islamic world. They are:

    1. Sheikh Dr. Abdur Rahman As Sudais

    The President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. He is renowned globally for his emotive and powerful style of Quranic recitation.

    2. Sheikh Dr. Maher Al Muaiqly

    Maher Al Muaiqly

    A prominent Imam and noted member of the Presidency. His clear, measured recitations are widely followed and respected by listeners internationally.

    3. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Juhany

    Abdullah Juhany

    A leading Imam of the Grand Mosque recognized for his melodic voice. He serves as a professor at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah.

    4. Sheikh Dr. Baleelah city

    Baleelah city

    An esteemed Imam known for his devout and serene recitation style. He also holds a position as a professor of Islamic studies.

    5. Sheikh Dr. Yasser Dawsary

    Yasir Ad Dawsary

    A distinguished Imam and preacher celebrated for his strong, resonant voice. He is a faculty member at the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud.

    6. Sheikh Dr. Badr Al Turki

    Badr Al Turki

    A senior Imam appreciated for his precise and contemplative recitation. He contributes as a faculty member at Umm Al-Qura University.

    7. Sheikh Dr. Waleed Al Shamsan

    Waleed Al Shamsan

    A respected Imam of the Grand Mosque. He is known for his heartfelt recitations and also serves in an academic role.
