WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 Results As Ethan Page And Penta Steal The Show

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026, Ethan Page and Penta clashed in a marquee battle between two former AEW stars.

Page, after an impressive stint in NXT, was just called up to Raw last month on the Raw after WrestleMania 42. Penta, who debuted in January 2025, won the Intercontinental Championship on Raw back in March when he defeated then-champion Dominik Mysterio to capture his first singles title in WWE.

It didn’t take long for Page to target Penta and the Intercontinental Championship, and at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Penta looked to avoid dropping his title less than three months after winning it.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 Results For Penta Vs. Ethan Page

Ethan Page looked to continue his lightning quick rise at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event inside the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, but he ran into a brick wall named Penta.

Barely a month after his official WWE main roster debut, Page nearly defeated Penta to capture the Intercontinental Championship only for Penta to hit a picturesque Penta Driver to cap off a stellar title bout and retain his championship.

Here are the key highlights and top moments from Penta vs. Page at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026:

  • Early on, Penta hit a beautiful head scissors takedown, but Page turned the tide by nailing Penta with a dropkick as Penta attempted to springboard off the ropes. Penta sent Page headfirst into the turnbuckle and then hit an arm drag.
  • Penta missed a baseball slide on the outside, then Page sent him onto the announce table with a big back body drop. Page took control of Penta with a chinlock in the middle of the ring. He hit a running boot to the face for a close two-count.
  • Penta was able to mount a comeback and eventually take out Page with a flipping dive over the top rope onto the outside. Back inside, Penta hit a crossbody block off the top rope. Penta flipped Page off the top rope and then hit a springboard DDT for his closest nearfall of the match.
  • Page hit a big kick and then a body slam for another nearfall. Penta then responded with a backstabber of his own as the red hot crowd continued to roar. Penta and Page exchanged a series of strikes before swapping superkicks. They eventually hit simultaenous big boots to take each other down.
  • Page was able to hit Penta with the Confidence Breaker but again only got two. As Page went for the Egoplex, Penta countered into a Penta Driver and nearly got the three-count as the crowd erupted. On the top rope, Page grabbed Penta by the mask and hit a massive avalanche power slam. Again, that shockingly got just a two-count.
  • Page ripped off the turnbuckle pad, threw it as a distraction to the ref and then ripped off another pad. He slammed Penta into it as the ref was distracted again, but he only got two. Page went shoulder first into the turnbuckle, which allowed Penta to hit a springboard Penta Driver for the three-count and the victory. What a finish and an incredible match.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2026 Results: What’s Next For Penta And Ethan Page?

After an unceremonious exit from AEW, Penta has had a very good run in WWE in the upper midcard, where he’s flourished on Raw for nearly a year and a half.

Prior to his debut, there were plenty of questions about how Penta would fare in WWE, and rightfully so. The same was true of Page, and yet, both men have been resounding success on the red brand so far. Penta has been a staple of Raw, and though his limited promo skills likely will prevent him from solidifying himself as a full-blown main eventer, he’s settled into his spot nicely.

That shouldn’t change after Penta’s big win at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. The future is bright for a Page too after a career-best performance in front of a red hot crowd.

Now, even after his Intercontinental Championship match loss, Page should solidify himself as an upper midcarder, much like Penta, with an outside chance of making his way into the main event scene. Especially post-WrestleMania, Raw has clearly established itself as WWE’s superior brand.

That means that Page is getting quite the spotlight and should continue to do so after his career-defining performance at WWE SNME. Look for WWE to continue the Page and Penta feud in the weeks ahead.

Then, expect Page and Penta to go their separate ways but remain focal points of WWE well beyond Saturday Night’s Main Event.
