UN says “aid is being weaponised through its denial” in Gaza
Jonathan Whittall, head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territories, said “aid is being weaponised through its denial” amid Israel’s nearly 2-month-long blockade in Gaza.
“There is an assault on people’s dignity in Gaza today,” Whittall said in a voice message OCHA shared on social media.
“People in Gaza are telling me that they feel like it’s the deliberate dismantling of Palestinian life in plain sight. What we see around us is endless suffering under a total and complete blockade.”
